ParentWise ("we", "our", or "us") operates the ParentWise mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.
Account information: When you sign in we collect your email address to create and identify your account.
Audio data: During live coaching sessions the app streams your microphone audio to our servers. This audio is sent in real time to Google Vertex AI (Gemini), a third-party AI service operated by Google LLC, to generate coaching responses. We do not permanently store raw audio recordings. Session transcriptions and AI-generated summaries are stored to provide your Growth Lab history.
Text data: Text messages you send during coaching sessions are transmitted to Google Vertex AI (Gemini) for processing and response generation.
Usage data: We collect information about how you use the app, including session history, topics selected, and reflection notes you choose to save.
ParentWise uses Google Vertex AI (Gemini) to power its live coaching sessions. When you start a coaching session, the following data is sent to Google's servers:
Google processes this data to generate real-time AI coaching responses. Google's use of this data is governed by their Cloud Data Processing terms, which provide that customer data is not used to train Google's AI models. For more information, see Google's Cloud privacy documentation.
Before your first coaching session, the app will ask for your explicit consent to share data with this service.
Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with the following third parties, each of which provides protections for your data consistent with this Privacy Policy:
You can delete individual sessions from your Growth Lab at any time. You can delete your entire account and all associated data directly from the app by going to Profile > Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, all coaching sessions, messages, and reflections. Account deletion also removes your authentication record from Firebase.
ParentWise is designed for parents and caregivers, not for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the effective date above.
